Affiliate Marketing or Join a Network Marketing Company?

I received an email today and the lady ask me if she should join an Affiliate Marketing program or join a Network Marketing Company. That is a good question and in the rest of this post I will be breaking down the Pro’s and Con’s of both and which I prefer.

Affiliate Marketing:

Affiliate Marketing is simply finding a product online that you purchase and they have an option for you to promote their product for cash when someone buys from you. It is a very simple concept and the right affiliate program can literally make you thousands of dollars.

 I actively promote both of these programs because they are great training resources for network marketers.

Pro’s of Affiliate Marketing:

  1. The best thing about affiliate marketing is fast cash. Once you make a sale of the product you can get paid very quickly.  Some products have a small waiting period, but normally you get paid within thirty days of the sale.
  2. Once you get someone to the products capture page and they fill out their information you can let them do all of the marketing. They normally have autoresponders waiting to go that will prompt your lead to buy. This saves you time and money.
  3. You get to promote something that really interest you! I only promote products that have given me value and that were beneficial to me (Things that interest me and that I really do enjoy)

Con’s of Affiliate Marketing:

  1. Sometimes when you choose a program to market, there may be thousands of other people promoting the same product that you. This saturates the market and makes it difficult to promote that product online.
  2. You’re giving away leads to build someone else’s business.

Network Marketing:

Network Marketing is when you join a company, sale their products, and try and recruit people into your downline.

 Pro’s of Network Marketing:

  1. Give’s you the opportunity to make residual income once you’ve successfully sponsored someone into your organization.
  2. Low start up cost to own your own business.
  3. Flexible hours. Since your the boss, you get to choose when you work.
  4. Unlimited income potential.

Con’s of Network Marketing:

  1. Low success rate. 95% of network marketing attempts end in failure. However, once you learn how to produce leads on the Internet the odds swing in your favor!
  2. Most people have NO idea how to market a business. Network Marketing is Marketing, so it takes time and practice to learn how to market a business.

So Affiliate Marketing or Network Marketing:

I choose BOTH! But, I’ve learned a really big secret that I will share with you since you are reading this post. I’ve found that people that buy my affiliate products are searching for help! A leader, someone that is willing to show them how to make their Network Marketing business work. So, when they buy the product that I am promoting, I swoop in with an e-mail saying that I can help them with their marketing IF……. You guessed it! If they join my Network Marketing company. Pretty slick isn’t it? It’s a win win for everybody! I get a new member, and they get someone that is successfully growing a Network Marketing business to help them do the same.
